The argument in this member was about how in the begging Canada felt about its defense. We did non have a regular army. We only had the volunteer system, for all males between the age of eighteen and sixty. This was not an effective perpetrate because they were not trained or given any weapons. At the beginning when the 2 provinces came together to form Canada the volunteer system was created so that Canada looked like it had a force, but this was only on paper.
