A nice to Late

In the short essay No Rainbows, No Roses by Beverly Dipo, the author uses descriptive writing in order to render the indorser a clear, vivid discover of what is happening. In the base of the essay, Dipo uses observation descriptions such as Mrs. Trane lies still: the head seems signally large on a skeleton frame, and except for a few fine wisps of gray hair around the ears, is insolent…the skin is fantasm and yellow and sags loosely around enlarged long bones. (Dipo 43) The words such as motionless, skeleton frame, fine wisps of gray hair, and dark and yellow and sags loosely provide a clear picture in the readers mind as he reads the description of the patient.
Dipo appeals to the five senses very useful in her essay, around to the point where we can actually feel or realize what is happening. Dipo puts as if we were the patient reaching for the long, thin fingers that are double-dealing on the chest. They are ice cold, and I quickly fall to the wrist and feel for the weak, thread pulse. (43) By instruction this, the reader can almost feel the fingers of the patient.

With the faint section of the patient, the reader can imagine hearing I send…my family…home…tonight…didnt want…them…to see… (44). The place of the words with periods in between emphasizes the whispering of the patient and the helplessness in her voice.
At the end of the essay, the descriptive writing becomes more than in depth and emotional. The prevail feels more of a companionship by being by her side during her death. While the nurse holds her hand, there is a tug of emotion within me for this odd who so quickly came into and went from my tone. Her suffering is done, yet so is the life. (44) The connection between the nurse and the patient also allows the reader to feel that connection from the descriptive writing. If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
