Hanna Khavich Trane
Hanna Khavich Trane, 77 years old, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2010 at Genesee Hospital, Rochester, revolutionary York, after a 6 month battle with cancer. Mrs. Trane was born on January 15, 1933, the oldest of three children to Elaina smith Khavich and Simon Khavich. For the first three years of her life, Mrs. Trane grew up in Kharkov, Ukraine and immigrated with her family, including her chum salmon Andy, and her sister Vera, to Ellis Island in 1936. Growing up in in the altogether York City, she was homeschooled by her mother from kindergarten until the fifth grade. She then attended P.S. 16 for grades six, seven and eight, but went back to homeschooling for her high school years because she had a passion for learning and preferred homeschooling. She attended Monroe College in the Bronx, and obtained a degree in melody. Hanna worked as a music teacher in elementary school from 1951-1953. In 1954, she auditioned to be part of the orchestra in Broadway shows and earned the part for forte-piano. For over 25 years, Mrs. Trane worked on Broadway and retired in 1980 to become a local piano teacher for children in her community.
She met Paul Trane at Monroe College in 1948 and they were get married in 1951. He went to school for accounting, and became an accountant in New York City.

They had seven children together: Margret, Andy, Michelle, Elizabeth, Harry, Matthew, and Clarice. When Mrs. Trane retired from Broadway, they moved to Rochester, New York and settled in the sm exclusively community of Weatherly Hills. Ten years later, Mr. Trane died of a stroke.
Mrs. Trane was an active member of her church. She was known and loved by everyone for all of her kind services, like volunteering at the food pantry, starting a collection for the Salvation Army, and donating her time to the local Meals on Wheels organization. multinational travel was only one of her many hobbies.
